Enquiries

First contact with us is regarded as an enquiry. To make an informed decision most of the information you will need is on this website. Contact us by Booking Form, email or telephone.

An enquiry does not constitute a booking.

By filling in the online Booking Form, marking it as a 'Booking', without first contacting us and enquiring after our availability, does not constitute a booking. Please contact us first about our availability.

Information we need:

Firstly, and most importantly, we need a date. We can then check if we are available. Secondly, a location or venue address of your event. Thirdly, start and finish times.

We'll also need your address and telephone number to get in contact with you about availability or to send you our current Price Structure. Any other information regarding your event or requirements will help too: genres of music you prefer, favourite song requests or additional 'can we' questions are all valid.

At your request, we will send you our current Price Structure. Once the Price Structure has been received, delaying booking is at your own risk. We will not inform you if the date has been booked unless you enquire again.

Booking Holds

We do not under any circumstances hold dates. Throughout the year, we get at least 3 calls for every Friday or Saturday, so we know we are likely to be booked by someone at sometime. We operate a 'First Come First Serve' policy. The first person to sign a contract and pay the deposit, secures the date irrespective of who they are or when the enquiry was made.

PLEASE BE AWARE: no arrangements will be undertaken UNTIL a contract has been signed and a deposit paid. This means that the band will not be informed of your enquiry or the date added to their Date Sheet.

We'll arrive in good time for the 'get in'. The musicians will arrive one (1) hour before 'lights up' to make final preparations.

The band will take a 'comfort' break at a suitable opportunity; music will be supplied via the public address system utilising our wide range of CDs which we will provide.

Deposit & Contract

All bookings are subject to a deposit, payable in advance, and a contract signed by an authorised person. Terms and Conditions apply. The band will not be informed of your request until the deposit and contract has been received.

If, THE MANAGEMENT or THE ARTIST, for any unforeseen reason have to cancel, all of the deposit paid will be swiftly refunded to THE ENGAGER within seven (7) days. If THE ENGAGER cancels for any reason, all of the deposit will be retained by THE MANAGEMENT and will act as a cancellation fee. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by THE MANAGEMENT, THE ARTIST or THE ENGAGER. Cancellation will be effective from the date of receipt of written confirmation. Please be aware this provision will be enforced without exception.

Booking at Short Notice

Booking at short notice is subject to availability. Short notice is defined as within thirty (30) days from the date of enquiry to the date of the event. Contracts not returned within seven (7) days will be automatically cancelled (the band will not show up!). Please be aware that bookings requested at short notice are usually refused on the grounds of availability.

Travel Expenses

The Carl Dominic Dance Band operates over the whole of the United Kingdom. Our standard prices include travel expenses within a 50 mile radius of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire (please see Travel Distance Guide). For gigs beyond this 50 mile radius, a special price will be quoted which will include the extra travel costs.

Accommodation

Most gigs are travel friendly. The Carl Dominic Dance Band is able to travel to and from the venue comfortably without overnight accommodation. However, gigs in the north of England, Scotland, North Wales, Ireland and the north-east coast will require overnight accommodation. A special price will be quoted, which will include the extra travel and accommodation expenses. This normally means a B&B, Travel Lodge or similar accommodation, at or near, the venue.
